Memory Book Update
Dear Classmates:
We have had quite a few inquiries regarding the mailing of the Memory Book. Well, after several calls to the company, we are supposed to get the proof of the book next week and if there aren't a lot of changes, you should have the book in your possession sometime in the middle of February. I am sorry there has been a delay. The company had a lot of reunions during the fall of 2006 so the influx of work has slowed their production down. When it arrives, it will be fun to reminisce again about that wonderful evening and get us all thinking about the possibilities for the 50 th, which will be here before we know it. Please be sure to let us know if you have any changes in your address, phone, email, etc. Now that we have found you, we don't want to lose you. Please keep in touch.

alumni...
their goal is to bring together those interested in planning reunions and other activities for their classes... this is the first organization that will involve our alumni as a whole....click on the link and check it out...
interesting sidebar here, the class of '55 has a regal 50th reunion planned for this summer, disguised as a week long party, conspiring with the pasadena high school alumni of the same vintage, and concluding with a four night cruise to baja!!!
these are not timid planners - they are truly going for the brass ring - the most monumental, most impressive, reunion ever!!!
until our 50th, anyway...

hernando...
who, long ago, we nicknamed hernando, (in obvious reference to his spanish surname and in conjunction with a popular song at the time, "hernando's hideaway" - truth be known, he has never warmed up to the hernando tag) although he goes by lare now (though why anyone would want to shorten/modify such a cool name as larry is beyond me) - anyway, in addition to his career in the business/computer world, he has simultaneously cultured a second career as an artist of some renown - I remember enjoying many of his early works, back in the 60's, before I moved from southern california, but don't take my word for it, art is such a matter of personal taste, check out his website, illusions by lare, and see for yourself - you may discover the Salvador DalĂ of our generation and be pleasantly impressed, if not surprised...

reunion

Greetings Classmates! Mary and I have agreed to co-chair a Reunion for the Muir Class of 1959. This is tentatively planned for about OCT 2006 so you don't have to buy a new outfit yet. Maybe we can make it shorts and Hawaiian shirts and goof-boots. Don't think I will pass that by Mary though. Be thinking of any clues you have on locating classmates. We will join that classmates.com so we can e-mail y'all (Texas leftover). Better start resting up for Reunion 2006 and even that will be leading up to #50 (whenever that is; I can't count that high).
